Buffs hosting defensive lineman

One member of Colorado's incoming freshman class in football already has been ruled academically ineligible and several others could be. Coaches have identified several possible replacements, including a defensive lineman who will visit Boulder in the next few days. Get inside for more.

Dakota Poole, is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound defensive lineman from Whitefish Montana, British Columbia, Canada.

Poole is already 20 years old according to multiple profiles of him available on the Internet, including the official site of the Canadian National Rugby teams. Poole has played on his country's Under-17 club in the past and more recently has been a member of the Under-20 team.

Colorado coach Dan Hawkins has at least one scholarship available after learning last month that Justin Favors, a tight end/defensive line prospect from Ohio was ruled academically ineligible at CU.

Poole hasn't responded to several interview requests, but we will continue to try to contact him and get his thoughts on Colorado and his college plans.
