News And Notes From The CU Basketball Team

As the Buffs prepare for their Big 12 tournament game with Kansas State on Thursday, several players were given conference honors. Michel Morandais and Stephane Pelle were named to the 2nd and 3rd conference teams. Read all the news effecting the hoops team.

Michel Morandais had a huge season but he finished second team in the AP's all-conference team behind several established Big 12 players.

Morandais finished behind TJ Ford, Kirk Hinrich, Andre Emmett, Nick Collison and Hollis Price, not a bad group of players.

Morandais was not the only Buff receiving honors, CU senior forward Stephane Pelle earned third-team Big 12 honors and David Harrison was chosen for the "all-improved" team.

Many believe junior guard Blair Wilson should have received some type of honor as well.

The honors are nice but the Buffs are worried about the status of Morandais for Thursday game against 11th seeded Kansas State. Mornadais, who injured his ankle against Baylor, is still being slowed by the injury. Coaches beleive he will play but will not be 100%.

The game will tip-off at around 7:30 pm on ESPN 2.

Also freshman Jayson Obazuaye is still in the hospital with "flu-like symptoms" and is not expected to make the trip to Dallas.
