Buffs Must Now Take On Sooners

No rest for the Buffs. After the win over the Wildcats, Colorado prepares to take on #3 Oklahoma tonight at 7:20 pm MT. Preview the CU vs OU game here.

The Buffs may have been given a gift, but the only thing that matters to head Coach Ricardo Patton is the W. Now things really get tough as the Buffs take on #3 Oklahoma. Here is the Big 12 schedule today.

Quarterfinals, Friday, March 14

Kansas vs. Iowa State, 1 p.m. Oklahoma State vs. Missouri Texas vs. Texas Tech, 7 p.m. Oklahoma vs. Colorado, 9:20 p.m.

CU men/tonight vs. Oklahoma

* When: 7:20 p.m.

* Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas

* TV/radio: KWHD-53/760 AM

* Notable: Oklahoma, the two-time defending Big 12 Tournament champion, may be without its second-leading scorer, 6-foot-5 senior guard Ebi Ere (13.6 points per game).

Ere fractured a bone in his left (nonshooting) hand in practice Tuesday. His availability for tonight's game isn't known. Last season's Big 12 newcomer of the year after averaging 14.6 points, Ere lost his starting job in recent weeks to freshman De'Angelo Alexander.

OU leads the Big 12 in scoring defense (60.7) and 3-point shooting (.390). ... OU has reached the past three Big 12 title games, finishing as runner-up to Iowa State in 2000 and winning the past two years.
