2007 Ohio Top 20

Dayton Insider has decided it is time to release the 2007 post summer rankings for Ohio. One player you will not see on this list is O.J. Mayo as he has enrolled into Huntington HS in Huntington, West Virginia. These rankings have been very hard and will cause some debate from the flyercountry.com members. Enjoy and let's talk about it on the flyer runway.

Rank: 1
Name: Kosta Koufus
Height/Weight: 7-0/230
College: The Ohio State University
Level: High-Major / Future Lottery Pick
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Kosta has a game very similar to Dirk Nowitzki when he first came in the league. He can stroke the 3 ball from anywhere across half court. Kosta also has a nice turnaround jumper that most players his age will not even attempt. He runs the floor very well and knows how to play to his defender's weakness.

Rank: 2
Name: Bill Walker
Height/Weight: 6-5/205
College List: Kansas State, UC, Florida
Level: High-Major
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Bill has shown that there is so much more to his game than just being a freak. He has improved his skills every year and has also had to deal with all the adversity around him and O.J.. This is a lot for a 17 year old kid to handle but has stayed focused for the most part and improved his all around game. If Bill continues to improve he could be in the NBA when its all said and done.

Rank: 3
Name: Alex Tyus
Height/Weight: 6-8/220
College: Florida
Level: High-Major
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Alex has a nose for the ball. He gets most of his points off of put backs and hustle plays. He is an undersized 4 but has the heart of a lion and will fit in for Coach Billy Donovan and his Florida Gators. D.I. feels that OSU made a mistake by taking Evan Turner instead of Alex Tyus.

Rank: 4
Name: Chris Wright
Height/Weight: 6-6/220
College: Dayton
Level: High-Major
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Chris has shown all summer that he is the best athlete in the class of 2007. What he has also shown is that his skills are starting to catch up with his athleticism. Chris also stands alone with his work ethic. Right now he has skills to play the 4 in college but D.I. expects him to develop the skills to play the 3 at UD.

Rank: 5
Name: Jon Diebler
Height/Weight: 6-5/180
College: Ohio State
Level: High-Major
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Jon is by far the best shooter in Ohio for this class and has shown a great ability to score. Jon has also shown that he does not have to score or shoot the ball every possession. This was a knock on him after his junior year but has changed the opinion of many evaluators across the country.

Rank: 6
Name: Dallas Lauderdale
Height/Weight: 6-8/235
College: Ohio State
Level: High-Major
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Dallas is know as a shot blocker. He is long and strong and can change the opponents offense better than any other player in his class in Ohio. His defense is superior to his offensive game right now but we fully expect him to contribute on the offensive side when he gets to Columbus

Rank: 7
Name: Dante Jackson
Height/Weight: 6-4/185
College: Xavier
Level: High-Major
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Dante Jackson can be described with one word, smooth. He floats on the court and can hurt in so many ways. The part of his game that surprised D.I. the most was his court vision and his willingness to involve his teammates in the game. Xavier will benefit any many ways by having Dante on the Cintas floor.

Rank: 8
Name: Aaron Pogue
Height/Weight: 6-9/290
College List: Dayton, USC, Pitt, Tennessee, Florida
Level: High-Major / Mid-Major
Dayton Insider's Scouting Report:
Aaron has shown that he knows how to win and will bring that winning attitude to a major program at the next level. He shows some impressive signs of athleticism for his size and he is not afraid to mix it up underneath with the big guys. He has great skills for a post player but must develop the work ethic of a champion to take his game to the next level.

Rank: 10 – Josh Miller / Mid-Major
Rank: 11 – Christian Siakam / Mid-Major
Rank: 12 – James Davis / Mid-Major
Rank: 13 – Nick Winbush / Mid-Major (Miami, OH.)

Rank: 17 – Troy Tabler / Low-Major
