Guard Makes A Decision

Coach Brian Gregory and his staff have been working hard to complete the 2007 recruiting class and today the hard work paid off. There were two guards on the board who were in the process deciding which college would be their home for the next four years. Read more as flyercountry.com tells you which guard made a decision to suit up for the Dayton Flyers next year.

With the verbal commitment of Stephen Thomas, Coach Brian Gregory and the Flyers have closed out what some would consider their best recruiting class since taking over at the University of Dayton. Stephen brings a leadership mentality as well as the ability to score from anywhere on the court. Stephen had a very impressive July and Dayton was one of a handful of schools to take notice.

Thomas joins future Flyer teammates Chris Wright and Devin Searcy to close out an excellent ‘07 recruiting. Chris Wright a 6-6 wing from Trotwood, Ohio was the first '07 to commit to Coach Gregory back on November 7, 2005. This past June, 6-8 forward Devin Searcy from Romulus, Michigan followed his good friend and gave his pledge to the Flyers. Flyer fans should be excited for these three spectacular players to suit up for the Flyers in the 2007-2008 season.

With a great 2007 recruiting class, look for Coach Gregory and his staff to keep rolling as they turn their attention to the class of 2008.
