Eric Wallace is expected to make a full recovery after undergoing surgery on his leg on October 7th, but will be sidelined just as practice is scheduled to begin on Friday for DePaul.
"This is a tough situation for Eric, but with the care of our sports medicine staff and his hard work in rehab, we believe he can make a full recovery," DePaul coach Oliver Purnell said in a statement today.
Wallace averaged 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 24 games for the Blue Demons last season.
Wallace missed the end of the 2009-10 season due to what was described as a shin injury to the same leg in late February.
