Karima Gabriel verbally committed to DePaul coach Doug Bruno this week. She comes to DePaul from the Peddie School in New Jersey where she played this season, but originally hails from Manchester, New Hampshire.
Gabriel originally signed with George Washington in the Fall signing period, but was recently released from her National Letter of Intent.
She had also received offers from James Madison, Northeastern, Siena, and William & Mary.
"I really liked the coaching staff and I had a really good time on my visit in Chicago," said Kadima.
Gabriel gives Bruno a weapon that he can use on the interior next season.
"I'm quick, I don't have a lot of perimeter game, but I can drive," said Gabriel.
DePaul has the biggest game in the history of their program on Sunday against second-seeded Duke in the regional semi-final in Philadelphia and Gabriel plans to be there.
"I'm going to the game," Gabriel said. "I'm very excited, I think it will be a pretty good matchup."
Gabriel becomes the fifth member of the 2011 recruiting class for the Blue Demons. She joins Alexa Gallagher, Brittany Hrynko, Chanise Jenkins, Megan Rogowski in the freshman class for this fall.
