Curie Big Man Receives Offer

Cliff Alexander is a 6'-9" big man that has firmly put himself in the top group of players in the state of Illinois in 2014. His offer list is starting to show this. After his dominating performance at the DePaul Team Camp it was no surprise that he received an offer from Blue Demons coach Oliver Purnell.

Cliff Alexander first found out about the offer while watching another game Tuesday at the camp.

"I was sitting with my coach at the DePaul team camp and he said I got an offer from DePaul."

The coaching staff likes the upside and defensive presence Alexander brings to the table. Alexander says DePaul has been aggressive with his recruitment.

"They have shown a lot of interest," said Cliff.

Alexander will be recruited by national schools before it is all said and done, but he has noticed DePaul early in the process.

"They are a good team," Alexander said of the Blue Demons. "I like them."

He discussed his play at the DePaul Team Camp.

"It has been going well," said Cliff. "I think I I've been playing good."

Alexander's marquee match up of the camp was against Class of 2013 Leo post Russell Woods. He more than held his own and showed he can compete against a top 10 big man in the state that is a year older than him.

Cliff currently holds offers from DePaul, Illinois and Ohio State. He is also receiving interest from Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Michigan State. He is a prospect who's stock is skyrocketing right now and will continue to rack up more offers.
