Today, is my first day of rest and the end of the Mac Irvin Fire Travel Basketball Season. Yesterday was my last day of playing this month in Ft.Wayne, Indiana. A lot of people told me I should participate in the event. I couldn't end my summer with a disappointing lost to NJ Playaz.
Also, since I grew a very strong bond with my teammates, I couldn't go unattended and leave them without me in the tournament. We lost our first game at Spiece to D-3 Pride, a very tough team, and went down to them by one point.
The next game against Indiana Elite was emotional, knowing that it was my last game with the Fire. We had a good game from the whole team. Russell Woods and Jermaine Morgan played a very good game and showed the improvement that they made the whole summer. Also Steve Taylor and Billy Garrett played a solid game finishing in double digit points.
As this summer ends, the highlight of it wasn't playing at the top camps, or winning a gold medal, but it was playing with those guys and my team "The Mac Irvin Fire". I appreciated the whole experience with the Fire and thanks to Coach Mike Irvin for giving me the exposure necessary for me to be one of the top prospects in the nation. Thanks to Steve from Scout.com for giving me an opportunity to write a diary, and the whole Fire coaching staff.
MAC IRVIN FIRE for life!

Simeon's Jabari Parker wraps up the Desert Duel in the third entry in his journal from the road.
Next up for Parker and his teammates is the GRBA Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Today we finished our west coast trip with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses. But Phoenix for us really challenged our unity, and togetherness. During the beginning you could really see the improvements of our team. We were beating teams by a substancial amount of points. But as the games got into the end of the tourney, games became close and adversity became a trial for us when things didn't go well. We end up losing in the championship but from our experience we grew stronger as a unit.

With the Fab 48 tournament in Las Vegas behind him, Simeon's Jabari Parker talks about the tournament and looks ahead to the Desert Duel tournament in Arizona in his second journal entry.
Former DePaul Blue Demon Wilson Chandler and Deron Williams of the Nets were in the audience for Parker's 22 point performance in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
Today we're headed to Phoenix, Arizona. We are currently leaving Las Vegas. We're not disappointed but humbled when we don't work our hardest and harder than other teams who are just as good as us. We lost to the Kansas City 76ers and that ended our winning streak. Off the court, personally myself I'm not someone who goes out.... So I just stayed at my hotel while some of the team went out on the Strip.

In his first diary entry from the Fab 48 AAU tournament in Las Vegas, five-star Class of 2013 prospect Jabari Parker writes about his play with the Mac Irvin Fire AAU team.
The Mac Irvin Fire are 4-0 on the third day of play at Fab 48 tournament in Las Vegas. With dozens of college coaches watching this afternoon, Jabari Parker and teammate Billy Garrett, Jr. scored 22 points apiece to lead the Fire past the Louisiana Dynasty.
First day out in Vegas, our team "the Fire" played well as a team. We won our first game against D-1 Sports from North Carolina (on Friday) and won our second to a team out of the ATL called World Wide Renegades. As the games progressed, our team as a whole played well on defense and communicated out on the floor very well. Everyone could see our improvement.
