Brooks Transferring to Junior College

DePaul freshman guard Macari Brooks will transfer to a junior college after further review of his initial eligibility status by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

On October 14th, it was initially announced that Macari Brooks would be able to remain on scholarship at DePaul with full financial aid, but was not permitted to compete in the 2011-12 season.

DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell announced today that Brooks has withdrawn from the university following a further review by the NCAA.

Multiple sources have informed WeAreDePaul.com that the 6-2 guard from Rich South High School is seeking a transfer to a junior college.
