Greg Sequele, a 6-8, 230 lb. big man from Citrus Community College in Southern California, returned home today after taking official visits to both DePaul and Kansas State over the weekend.
Sequele had also taken an unofficial visit to USC, but tonight said that his final decision will come down to DePaul and Kansas State.
"I had a good time," Greg said of his visits to DePaul and Kansas State. "I saw the campuses. I talked with the teams, went to dinner. I saw the practices. They told me how they need me and how they plan to use me."
Sequele went to high school at Ribet Academy in Southern California, which is the same high school that produced former DePaul center Krys Faber.
Greg originally signed with Washington State in 2010, but did not qualify academically. He then spent one year at the College of Southern Idaho before landing at Citrus Community College in Southern California.
Sequele was on DePaul's campus on Saturday night and watched the Blue Demons defeat the Lewis Flyers in their exhibition game.
"I really like Coach (Oliver) Purnell," said Greg. "I get along with him."
Following his visit to DePaul, Greg went to Manhattan, Kansas where he watched the Wildcats play in their exhibition game on Sunday night.
"I got along with the team from Kansas State," said Sequele. "Coach (Bruce) Weber is a nice guy."
With his junior college season starting on Friday, Greg plans on reaching a decision soon.
" I'm starting to think which school I will commit to, which school is best for me, and which one has the best opportunity", Sequele said.
It's a decision that won't come easily for Greg.
"It's a hard decision," Sequele said. "Both schools are great. They have nice facilities. They have nice programs. Both schools fit my style of play."
Sequele is Close to a Decision
