Eustace Plans DePaul Visit

Aussie wing Jaryd Eustace is new to the United States and plans on taking an official visit to DePaul coming up. Learn more about the prospect from Impact Academy in this report.

Jaryd Eustace, a 6-7 180 lb. wing from Impact Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada, has only been in the U.S. for three months, but has already caught the eye of a number of college coaches.

DePaul coach Oliver Purnell spotted the Australian native while in Las Vegas last month and quickly arranged an official visit to DePaul for this weekend.

Jaryd has spent some time familiarizing himself with DePaul and watching some of their games.

"I know it's a very good school and the basketball is in the rebuilding phase," said Eustace.

One thing that appeals to Eustace with the Blue Demons is Purnell's uptempo style of ball.

"I like to play in a fast uptempo environment," said Jaryd. "I'm kind of used to that. It suits me better playing faster."

Eustace is also anxious to see the city of Chicago for the first time.

"Everyone keeps telling me how nice it is," Jaryd said of his first official visit. "I'm pretty excited to go there."

Jaryd has the kind of versatility that Purnell seeks in a ballplayer and is capable of playing the two or the three.

"I consider myself a guard, but I've got the height to play at forward as well," said Eustace. "My handle is very good for my size."

Colleges have taken notice in the few games that Impact Academy has played in the last month.

Boise State, Georgia Tech, Illinois State, Morehead State, and Vanderbilt have all been calling on Eustace.
