Matthews Has St. Rita Rolling

St. Rita has come a long way this season as a team, and now with the playoffs just ahead, the Mustangs are turning into a dangerous team, much in part to strong play from sophomore Charles Matthews.

Ask any of the St. Rita players, and they'll tell you that the road to where they are now wasn't easy. But it was because of those struggles that they have improved as a team to where they are now.

And despite being just a sophomore, Charles Matthews, a top 10 player in the nation in the class of 2015, has matured into a leader for his team.

Matthews admits that he got away from what works for him earlier in the season, but he got back to his roots and is really playing a key role for his team with the playoffs just around the corner.

We caught up with Matthews, who holds an offer from Illinois, after a recent win over St. Joe's with Illinois had coach John Groce in attendance.
