Former Purdue Big Man Sandi Marcius decided on Friday to transfer to DePaul for his final season. As a graduate transfer, Marcius will be eligible to play immediately for the Blue Demons.
Sandi averaged 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in 9.3 minutes of play in his junior season with the Boilermakers.
Marcius chose the Blue Demons over interest from Nevada, Pittsburgh, and Missouri State.
The 6-9, 268 lb. big man still has two summer classes to complete at Purdue before he can gain his degree in Engineering and transfer to DePaul as a graduate transfer.
Exit Donnavan Kirk
With Marcius in the fold for next season, DePaul junior big man Donnavan Kirk will be given his release and can transfer immediately as a graduate transfer. Kirk will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Kirk averaged 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in 25.5 minutes of play last season for the Blue Demons.
