Curie defeated Bogan 47-45 in a closely fought battle. The Condors were led by a key blocked shot and a dunk by big man Cliff Alexander in the game's final minutes.
After the game, Alexander, who is Scout.com's sixth-ranked overall prospect in the Class of 2014, lived up to his nickname of "Humble One". While his teammates were posing with the championship trophy, Alexander was tending to a fallen teammate who was on the floor dealing with a leg cramp.
"I think my team did a great job these past two days and got the job done getting the championship," said Alexander.
Alexander was named the camp's MVP following the game.
Curie hopes to build on this win as they pursue a Chicago Public League championship this season.
"We can carry this forward," said Cliff. "We have to keep winning and have all our guys continue to play good."
32 high school teams from Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin competed in the camp in what was a solid collection of young Midwest talent.
