Cliff Alexander led the Curie Condors to a 47-45 win over Bogan to take the DePaul Team Camp championship title on Tuesday night and earned the camp's MVP award.
The 6-9, 230 lb. center is rated as Scout.com's sixth-ranked overall prospect and the third best center in the nation.
Alexander recently announced that his college decision is down to 10 schools – Arizona, Baylor, DePaul, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Kansas, Kentucky, Memphis and Michigan State.
In the last week, Cliff has taken unofficial visits to Kansas, Illinois, and DePaul's team camp. It's safe to say that Alexander is a top recruiting priority for DePaul coach Oliver Purnell for 2014.
The last three MVP's of the DePaul Team Camp are all on today's Blue Demon roster – Myke Henry, DeJuan Marrero, and Billy Garrett, Jr. For that streak to continue, Purnell will need to find a way to land Big Cliff.
"DePaul, is a great team that's getting great in the process," said Alexander. "I feel like they're my hometown school. Coach Purnell is a great guy."
Kansas made enough of an impression on Alexander during his trip to Lawrence that he wants to return there in a few months.
"Kansas, I want to go back there for Midnight Madness," said Cliff.
While on these visits Alexander is gathering information.
"I don't really ask questions," said Alexander. "The coaches basically explained everything I need and want to know."
Important to Cliff is his ability to develop further and get to the next level.
"They're telling me that they will develop me," Alexander said. "It doesn't really matter to me what league I play in, as long as I go to a school where they will develop me and have a great relationship with my family."
To build that relationship is why Cliff has been bringing Curie coach Mike Oliver and his parents along with him on these visits.
Next up for Alexander is the Nike Peach Jam tournament in July. Alexander's Mac Irvin Fire AAU program will be competing for the Peach Jam title in North Augusta, South Carolina beginning on July 11th.
