Cliff Alexander Begins Visits

Chicago Curie High School center Cliff Alexander has his five official visits lined up and is ready to get started. We take a look at the 5-star big man in this report.

Cliff Alexander is ranked by Scout.com as the fifth best overall player and the third best center in the nation. Some might argue that Cliff is the best center in the country.

The 6-9, 240 lb. big man announced this week that his first official visit with be to DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus beginning on Thursday.

DePaul coach Oliver Purnell has been vigorously recruiting Alexander since his freshman year at Curie High School.

In June, Alexander was named the Most Valuable Player of the DePaul Team Camp after leading Curie to the camp championship title.

"DePaul is a team that is in the process of getting great," Alexander said at the camp. "I feel like they're my hometown school. Coach Purnell is a great guy."

Following his official visit to DePaul, Cliff plans on visiting Arizona (September 13), Kansas (October 4), Louisville (to be decided), and Memphis (October 18).

Alexander is also considering Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan State.
