Juco Forward to Visit DePaul

On Friday night at McGrath-Phillips Arena, DePaul will be hosting the Big East Tip-Off Party, which will be televised nationwide on Fox Sports 1. The Blue Demons will also be hosting a number of recruits. Learn what one prospect has to say about his upcoming visit in this report.

DePaul coach Oliver Purnell will welcome in junior college forward Jordan Goodman this weekend. The 6-9 forward from Harcum College in Pennsylvania will be taking an official visit to the Lincoln Park campus while the Big East festivities take place.

"This weekend I'm going to DePaul," said Goodman. "I don't know much about them. I know they are in the Big East. That's a great conference. When I go out there I'm looking forward to learning more about the school and the program."

While in high school, Goodman verbally committed to Georgetown, Rutgers, and Texas Tech. This will be his second official visit. Goodman previously visited Cal State-Northridge. He is currently receiving interest from Gonzaga, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Temple, and Wichita State.

Goodman was a power forward in high school, but projects out to be more of a small forward in college. He's a versatile player and a big time scorer who averaged 18.1 ppg and 6.6 rebounds per game last season.

"Lately, I've been working on my handle, so I can play the four, three, or two," said Goodman. "I'm a very emotional player. I don't like to lose. I would say I'm a team player. Putting the ball in the basket has never been a problem for me. I'm learning to play defense better than I have in the past year. Being a team leader is something that I've been working on also. I'm a very team-oriented person and I just want to win."

10/24/13 - Update - Goodman's visit will not take place this weekend and will be rescheduled for a later date.
