DePaul’s Stimage Out for Up to 10 Weeks

Blue Demons Forward Rashaun Stimage will miss the start of the DePaul men’s basketball season after fracturing his left foot in the team’s open scrimmage on Saturday night.

Rashaun Stimage is expected to miss the beginning of DePaul’s non-conference schedule and may miss up to the next 10 weeks. Stimage is a 6-8 junior forward who transferred from Daytona State junior college.

Stimage plans to have surgery on Wednesday morning. The injury is a fifth metatarsal midshaft fracture in the left foot, per DePaul Sports Information director Greg Greenwell.

“Rashaun was having a great preseason,” DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell said. “It’s unfortunate that he will be down for much of pre-conference, but we’re optimistic he’ll be back for Big East play.”

DePaul will play at Wisconsin on Saturday in a controlled scrimmage before facing the Division II Lewis University Flyers in an exhibition game on November 6th.
