Myke Henry Earns Big East Weekly Honors

CHICAGO - DePaul junior forward Myke Henry was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after the Blue Demons split two road games in league play last week. Henry averaged 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in games at Seton Hall and Xavier.

The weekly honor is the second of the season for Myke Henry. He also earned the recognition on Dec. 1 following games Lehigh and Stanford.

Henry scored 14 points with eight rebounds, two blocked shots and steal at Seton Hall last Thursday. The Chicago native went 7-for-12 from free throw line to lead the Blue Demons into a first-place tie in the league standings following the 64-60 win over the 24th-ranked Pirates.

Two days later at Xavier, Henry totaled 13 points with eight rebounds at Xavier on Saturday. He hit two of DePaul's season-high 13 three-pointers while registering his fourth straight game in double-figures.

Henry was joined on the honor roll by Xavier's Myles Davis, Butler's Roosevelt Jones, Sir'Dominic Pointer of St. John's and Joshua Smith from Georgetown. Providence's LaDontae Henton was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week and Isaac Copeland from Georgetown was the Rookie of the Week.

Three DePaul players have earned weekly honors this season with Billy Garrett Jr. claiming recognition on Jan. 5 and Jan. 19 and Tommy Hamilton IV picking up the honor on Dec. 8.
