Crockett Named to Big East Weekly Honor Roll

CHICAGO – DePaul senior forward Jamee Crockett was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after turning in strong performances last week against Seton Hall and Butler. The Chicago native averaged 17.5 points in the two games while shooting.483 from the field.

The weekly honor is the first of the season for Jamee Crockett and he is the fourth DePaul player to earn weekly honors. Crockett joins Billy Garrett Jr., Tommy Hamilton IV and Myke Henry on the DePaul honor list.

Crockett 21 points against Seton Hall to lead DePaul over the Pirates on Tuesday. He added three assists, two rebounds and a steal in his fourth career 20-point game and set career highs in field goals and field goal attempts.

At Butler on Saturday, Crockett scored 14 points with two rebounds, an assist and a steal. He also moved into a tie for 15th on DePaul’s all-time three-point field goal list.

Crockett was joined on the honor roll by Creighton’s Geoffrey Groselle, Villanova’s Darrun Hilliard, Sir’Dominic Pointer from St. John’s and Xavier’s Jalen Reynolds. Butler's Kellen Dunham was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week and Ben Bentil from Providence was the Rookie of the Week.

Four DePaul players have earned weekly honors this season with Billy Garrett Jr. claiming recognition on Jan. 5 and Jan. 19 and Tommy Hamilton IV picking up the honor on Dec. 8. Myke Henry earned the honors on Dec. 1 and Jan. 26.
