Eichelberger Commits to DePaul

The Blue Demons added some size to their 2016 recruiting class in the form of 6-7, 230 lb. power forward Al Eichelberger.

Al Eichelberger comes to DePaul from La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana.  He originally hails from Saginaw, Michigan.  Al spent one season at Prolific Prep in California before moving to La Lumiere for his senior season.

Al took an official visit to DePaul's Lincoln Park campus just a few weeks ago.

Eichelberger chose DePaul over offers from Bowling Green, Cal State-Fullerton, Central Michigan, Columbia, Cornell, Detroit, Northern Illinois, Princeton, Rice, Toledo, UC-Davis, UC-Santa Barbara, Utah, and Western Michigan.

Al boasts a 7-2 wingspan and has played both the small forward and power forward positions while in prep school.  He is known for his defense in the paint.

Eichelberger has a solid academic record with a 3.7 GPA and offers from Ivy League schools.

Al becomes the first Blue Demon recruit from the state of Michigan since fellow Saginaw native Dar Tucker signed with DePaul in 2006.

Eichelberger joins Curie guard Devin Gage in the 2016 recruiting class for the Blue Demons.
