Reed averaged 18.2 points and 11.4 rebounds enroute to the Florida state championship game as a senior at Wekiva High School.
Reed was named the Central Florida Player of the Year by the Orlando Sentinel.
“Paul’s brings a versatile skill set to our roster for next season and he really improved during his outstanding senior season,” DePaul Coach Dave Leitao said in a statement. “He finished his high school career as one of the top players in the state of Florida while leading his team to the state finals. Paul along with our other incoming freshmen Jaylen Butz and Justin Roberts and our two transfers Austin Grandstaff and Max Strus that will be eligible this season give us a great core for next season and beyond.”
With the departure of sophomore guard Erten Gazi, DePaul now has two scholarships available for 2017 and remains active on the recruiting trail for those two spots. Stay tuned to WeAreDePaul.com for the very latest on DePaul recruiting.
