Walker Preparing for Visit

Will Walker, a 6'0" 175 lb. guard out of Bolingbrook High in Illinois has been down to his final two schools – DePaul and Michigan. He hopes to decide soon where he will play basketball and study for the next four years. In this Scout.com interview, he talks about his upcoming official visit, the Blue Demons, the Wolverines, and where his future might lie.

Will Walker will be taking his first official visit this weekend to DePaul University in Chicago. "I'm going up to DePaul on Saturday morning and then I leave on Monday morning," said Walker.

Will is currently ranked 78th in the Scout.com Class of 2006 and is listed as the 13th best senior point guard.

Walker is already familiar with Blue Demons Lorenzo Thompson and Sammy Mejia and hopes to meet the rest of the DePaul team. "I'm going to get to know them better on the visit and I get to hang out with them for awhile," Walker explained on his anticipated visit.

Will is still looking to schedule a visit to Michigan and is waiting to hear back from the Wolverines staff.

Walker is getting to know Blue Demons coach Jerry Wainwright. "I'm real comfortable with him now that we've been talking on a regular basis. At first I didn't know much about him, but he seems like he'll be cool."

Will talked about what he is looking for his in first year. "I'm looking for a school in a good conference that I'm going to play at. I don't want to come in and sit on the bench my first year. DePaul or Michigan, I want to play at either one of those as a freshman."

Will plans on going on to major in Business, both DePaul and Michigan are respected for their Business schools.
