Game Preview

Trinity Christian College is a liberal arts college in Palos Heights, IL. Trinity plays in the NAIA. Last season was their first ever NAIA national tournament appearance. They have the majority of their roster returning from last year's 18-15 team. Trinity has the unusual nickname of the "trolls".

So far this year, Trinity is 1-2. The Trolls opened the season with a 64-47 win over Grace Bible College. They followed that one up with a 68-63 loss to eighth ranked Cornerstone University (MI). On Wednesday night, Trinity took the 16th ranked St. Xavier University Cougars to overtime, but came up short in a 76-73 loss on the southside.

The top performers for the Trolls in their first three games have been senior forward Lawrence Weller (averaging 18 ppg and 8 rpg), junior center Ty Dewitte (7.7 ppg and 8.3 rpg), and junior guard Nick Rykse (10 ppg).
