DePaul Women's Hoops Internet Audio Schedule

CHICAGO – The DePaul University Athletics Department is set to broadcast at least 26 women's basketball games this season through the official website, DePaul has teamed up with to bring all the action live as the 18th-ranked Blue Demons begin the season this weekend.

DePaul opens the 2005-06 season as they host the DePaul Invitational. The Blue Demons welcome Alabama State, Harvard and UNLV to the DePaul Athletic Center for the two-day tourney. DePaul takes on Harvard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening after Alabama State and UNLV start the tournament at 5:30 p.m. Saturday's action has the two winners playing at 7:30 p.m. preceeded by the consolation game at 5:30 p.m.

Jason Benetti calls all of the action in his first season covering the Blue Demons. A 2005 graduate of Syracuse University, Benetti handled broadcasting duties for Syracuse football, men's basketball, women's basketball and men's lacrosse while working for Syracuse International Sports Properties and WAER Radio. He also served as host of the weekly Syracuse women's basketball coach's show.

Head coach Doug Bruno returns nine players and four starters from last season's 26-5 squad that reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. DePaul posted a 2-0 record during the exhibition portion of the season with a 110-65 win over Saint Xavier (Ill.) and a 105-79 victory against the Chicago Challengers.
