Jacob Pullen, Proviso East, Lists DePaul

Jacob Pullen is fast becoming a hot commodity for point guards in the class of 2007. Pullen played a great game against OSU's recruit Mike Conley. That game could have been a coming out party for Pullen.

Jacob Pullen is a 5'11" point guard from Proviso East High School in Illinois with excellent shooting skills and great ball handling abilities. He is also a good defender. Sources say that Illinois has picked up its recruiting interest with him. "Yes, Illinois is on my list of schools - but I have to be honest - they came in late. But since the big fella is going there they will always have a shot with me," said Pullen.

Pullen didn't hide the fact he has a special list of schools that he's interested in. "I really like Iowa, DePaul, Missouri and George Washington. I mean, I like Iowa because my boy Tony Freeman goes there and we're pretty close," he added.

Currently a lot of mid-majors have offered him, but he's holding off. "I know schools like Dayton and Indiana State have offered me, but I'd like to wait because right now my stock is rising and I know I can play high major basketball. Tonight, Ball State was here to see me play so my name is out there," Pullen added.

"Right now, if I had to name a favorite I'd have to say Illinois and Iowa. I like Coach Webster; that's my boy. He always seems to see me play at the right times and everyone in the city likes him."

"After the loss, the way we looked at it is like this – we're the best in Illinois because no other team in the state would have played Lawrence North this close, and we didn't play our best game. The big fella held his own and he still had a chance, but a few things didn't go our way."

Pullen finished the night with 26 points and was 5-10 from the three point line.
