Chandler, a 6-8 forward from Benton Harbor, Mich., averaged 19 points and 6.5 rebounds in DePaul's first two BIG EAST games this past week. Chandler recorded a double-double with 21 points and a game-high 12 rebounds in the win over Notre Dame on Saturday. He was awarded the Wendell Smith Award which is given to the Most Valuable Player of the DePaul-Notre Dame game. Chandler also scored 17 points in the league opener at Cincinnati on Wednesday.
The Blue Demons (8-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play) are in action again on Thursday when they travel to Pittsburgh for an 8 p.m. (CST) BIG EAST contest. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
