Sammy Mejia, a DePaul Blue Demons senior guard will compete in the nation's oldest amateur basketball tournament, recognized by NBA and European scouts as the premier showcase for future professional players.
Mejia averaged 14.1 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game as a senior for the Blue Demons. Sammy is DePaul's ninth ranked all-time leading scorer.
64 seniors are invited to Portsmouth and are divided into eight teams. Mejia is on a team with Iowa's Adam Haluska, Texas Tech's Jarrius Jackson, and Wisconsin's Kammron Taylor.
