Jordan Happy with Decision

For Jeffrey Jordan the saga is over. The 6-1 Loyola Academy senior, and the oldest son of Michael Jordan, has made his collegiate decision.

Jeffrey Jordan has decided to attend the University of Illinois next year to play for Bruce Weber and the Fighting Illini. "Well, in the end it just came down to where I thought I'd fit in more from a social standpoint and the University of Illinois... I thought it fit me," said Jordan.

Jeff who broke his decision down to being a preferred walk-on at Illinois and or a scholarship player at Valparaiso, chose the school in Champaign because he went with his gut. "I just have a gut feeling that I could play there eventually and get good (playing) time," Jordan said. Jeff also added some advice, "For all the younger players and underclassman, go where you feel most comfortable without involving basketball." Yes, Jeff Jordan does practice what he preaches.

After a summer on the AAU circuit with the Rising Stars program and an appearance at the 2006 Nike Camp, Jordan saw his recruiting stock rise.

Jordan had also received interest from Davidson, Loyola, and Northwestern.
