D.J. Richardson Narrows His List

Peoria Central star junior guard D.J. Richardson has narrowed his list to 10 schools. In this report, the class of 2009 prospect reveals who is in the mix.

In alphabetical order, the schools vying for D.J. Richardson's services are Florida, Georgetown, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Marquette, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Virginia

According to Richardson his visit to the University of Illinois went extremely well last Saturday. "The football game was great," said D.J. "I want to go back to another game. I got to hang out with Jeff Jordan, Demetri McCamey, and the rest of the team. I thought I played really well in the open gym session and Coach Weber really sees potential in me as a point guard."

As far as his recruitment in general, "Without a doubt Illinois has been recruiting me the hardest," said the junior.

Richardson has been participating in the Peoria Fall League against the likes of D'Mitri Riggs and Lewis Jackson and has already begun participating in Peoria Central High School open gyms in front of many high major Division I assistant coaches.
