Game Preview

The Trinity Christian Trolls come calling to McGrath Arena on Friday night for the Blue Demons first and only exhibition game this season.

Trinity Christian College is a liberal arts college in Palos Heights, Illinois. Trinity plays in the NAIA. The Trolls are coming off of a 9-18 season last year. Their leading returning scorer is senior forward Kurt Gruppen who averaged 13.6 ppg last season. Junior guard Ross Stuursma averaged 9.1 ppg for the Trolls.

This is Trinity Christian's second visit to McGrath Arena for an exhibition game. The Blue Demons defeated the Trolls 91-73, on November 12, 2005. DePaul was without leading scorer Sammy Mejia in that game, as he was grieving the loss of his grandmother. Sophomore Karron Clarke, fresh off of sitting out his transfer year, exploded with 26 points. The Demons had four players in double figures, Draelon Burns added 14 points, Wilson Chandler had 10 points and a game-high eight rebounds, and Wesley Green finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Blue Demons will open their regular season at Creighton University on Friday, November 9th.
