Quigley scored 15 of her team-high 21 points in the first half while Naughton tossed in 13 of her 18 points in the second half. DePaul improved to 2-0 on the young season with the victory while FIU dropped to 1-1.
The Blue Demons also got 12 points from Felicia Chester off-the-bench and forced 27 Golden Panthers which translated into 21 points.
FIU was led by LaQuetta Ferguson who scored 27 of her career-high 30 points in the second half.
The Blue Demons took a 5-2 lead just under two minutes into the contest on a three-pointer by Naughton and never trailed again. DePaul's lead grew to as much as 15 at 38-23 with 3:20 to play and the Blue Demons took a 42-33 advantage into intermission.
Ferguson kept the Golden Panthers in the game in the second half by hitting five of her six three-point attempts but DePaul continued to pull away and pushed the lead to18 at 79-61 with 4:25 to play and then cruised home with the victory.
The Blue Demons are in action again tomorrow night when No. 18 Florida State visits McGrath Arena in the second game of the DePaul Invitational. Florida State and Florida International wrap up the tournament on Saturday.
