Three Blue Demons Earn Big East Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - DePaul's Draelon Burns was named second team All-BIG EAST Conference while freshmen teammates Mac Koshwal and Dar Tucker were selected to the league's All-Rookie Team it was announced by the conference today.

Draelon Burns, a 6-4 senior from Milwaukee, finished the regular season fourth in the BIG EAST in scoring (17.6) and led the Blue Demons in scoring, three-point field goals (63), three-point field goal percentage (.346) and steals (51). The BIG EAST Player of the Week on December 3, Burns was also among the conference leaders in free throw percentage (fifth), steals (eighth), 3pt. field goals (eighth) and 3pt. field goal percentage (eighth).

Mac Koshwal, a 6-10 forward/center from Chicago, led the Blue Demons and ended the regular season fifth in the conference in rebounding (8.4) while shooting a team-best .496 (129-260) from the field, which ranked 10th in the league. He also averaged 10.7 points per game.

Darquavis Tucker, a 6-5 forward from Saginaw, Mich., averaged 13.6 points per outing, which ranks 21st in the BIG EAST. The BIG EAST Conference Rookie of the Week on January 2, Tucker finished strong down the stretch, averaging 20.4 points per game in his last four outings.
