CHICAGO, IL - Maureen Mulchrone averaged 14.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game as a senior for the Marist Redhawks this season. The 6-0 forward was named second team All-State in Class 4A by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Mulchrone bounced back from surgery to repair a torn ACL in August to lead the Redhawks in the state playoffs and advanced downstate for a fourth place finish in Class 4A.
Marist coach Mary Pat Connolly played professional basketball with the Chicago Hustle for DePaul coach Doug Bruno.
Mulchrone is the fifth member of the class of 2008 for the Blue Demons and joins Keisha Hampton from Pennsylvania, Danielle Havel from Indiana, Resurrection's Deanna Ortiz, and Courtney Webb from Michigan.
