Krys Faber Signs NLI to Play at DePaul

CHICAGO – Krys Faber has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at DePaul it was announced today by Blue Demon head coach Jerry Wainwright.

"I am truly excited that Krys Faber has decided to join our program at DePaul," Wainwright said. "He is an outstanding young man from a truly special family. He is gifted with tremendous athleticism and that, added to a determined, competitive desire, makes him I believe one of the best prospects at this position in the country. Krys will have an immediate impact on our program, both on and off the court, and his signing certainly solidifies our frontcourt for the future.

"Krys joins Devin Hill and Jeremiah Kelly to give us a 2008 class of tremendous versatility, speed, and skill. They are all character kids and I can't wait to coach them," Wainwright said.

Faber is a 6-11, 245-pound center from Los Angeles. He attends Ribet Academy where he averaged 15.8 points, 17.5 rebounds and recorded 134 blocks while shooting .490 from the field in 25 games as a senior. He posted seven games with 20 or more rebounds including a season-high 27 against Mission Prep. Faber also recorded a pair of triple-doubles (points, rebounds, blocked shots). Faber also averaged 12.9 points and 12.5 rebounds during his junior campaign.
