The Chicago Sun-Times and Lexington Herald-Leader today reported that Anna Martin has become the first recruit in the class of 2009 for the DePaul women's basketball team.
The 5-9 shooting guard from Lexington Christian averaged 19 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists as a junior for the Lady Eagles.
Martin committed after visiting DePaul's campus. She chose DePaul over Louisville and Kentucky.
As a sophomore Martin led Lexington Christian to the championship title of the state Sweet 16 tournament.
