Marshall Continues to Receive Offers

Brooks Academy point guard George Marshall, Jr. continues to pick up scholarship offers on the recruiting trail. Marshall has been very busy with camps in the last week. Check out the progress the class of 2011 point guard has made in the month of June in this report.

George Marshall has continued to prove that he is one of the top point guards in the class of 2011 in the state of Illinois. At the Northern Illinois team camp last weekend, Marshall drove to the hoop for what was the game winning basket in a win over East Chicago Central.

The 5-11 point guard then went to the Xavier Elite camp in Cincinnati last Sunday, where he picked up a scholarship offer from the Musketeers.

On Monday, Marshall attended the University of Illinois team camp at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, but sat out the games there due to the hectic pace that he's been keeping up this month.

This weekend, George is back on the basketball court playing at the Northwestern University team camp in Evanston, Illinois.

In addition to the offer from Xavier, Marshall also received a scholarship offer from the Baylor Bears this week according to his father George Marshall, Sr.

George now has four Division I scholarship offers including earlier offers from DePaul and Illinois State. He is also receiving interest from Marquette, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Purdue.

Marshall, who is a consummate floor general, will begin the July evaluation period with the 16-U Illinois Warriors at the Adidas Take 5ive tournament in Cincinnati.

During July, George expects to play both on the 16-U and 17-U level for the Warriors on the AAU circuit.

Stay tuned to for the very latest on George Marshall and other class of 2011 prospects.
