Sammy Mejia averaged 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists for AEL 1964 Larissa in Greece last year.
Before that he played in Italy for Capo Di Orlando where he averaged 11.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 13 games.
The 6-6 guard was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 2007 and was assigned to their D-League team in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he played 13 games and averaged 19.8 points and 8.4 rebounds before being released.
As a senior at DePaul, Mejia averaged 14.1 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game and led the Blue Demons to the quarterfinals of the NIT. Mejia is DePaul's ninth ranked all-time leading scorer.
He is one of just two players (Tom Kleinschmidt being the other) to have 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists and 100 3pt. field goals in a Blue Demon uniform.
