When Does Koshwal Return for DePaul?

After sitting out the St. Joseph's game in the Virgin Islands with a left foot injury, DePaul's Mac Koshwal's status for Saturday's game against the Detroit Titans is uncertain. In this report, we catch up with DePaul coach Jerry Wainwright to get the latest on Koshwal's return to the court.

"It will be a gametime decision," Wainwright said of Mac Koshwal's status. "Hopfeully we'll have some more progress today and he'll be able to go. It's his call. He's beat up a little bit. He has some aches and pains."

Before the injury, the 6-10 center was averaging a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds for DePaul.

"It doesn't seem to be anything that is systemic or traumatic," said Wainwright. "We just have to see if he's able to go tomorrow."

It does appear as though Koshwal is on the mend.

"He seems to have responded since we've got back (from the Virgin Islands)," Jerry added. "He's got a lot of toughness about him. If we're going to err, we're going to err on the side of discretion is way better than valor. If that had been the last game of the season against St. Joes, he would have played. Right now we just have to go day-by-day with him."
