The 6-6 forward from North Carolina sat out Saturday's game against Louisville with a left shin injury.
Eric Wallace had started in 19 games for DePaul this season and had been averaging 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
This was Wallace's first season playing for DePaul after sitting out last season following his transfer from Ohio State University.
Wallace's career high came against Detroit on November 28, 2009 when he scored 16 points.
The Blue Demons will miss Wallace's rebounding. Junior Mac Koshwal has had to pick up the majority of the rebounding chores in the last few games.
DePaul (8-18, 1-13) departs Chicago today as they travel to face the Cincinnati Bearcats on Wednesday night.
