NBPA Camp: Nick Faust

One of the breakout players of NBPA Top 100 Camp has been Baltimore product Nick Faust. Learn about Faust's recruitment and how the camp went for the four-star wing in this report…

At the NBPA Top 100 Camp, Nick Faust proved to be one of the best scoring wings in the class of 2011. Faust averaged 12.8 points per game in the camp, good enough for a top 10 spot. He also helped lead his Pistons team to the camp championship.

In recognition of his performance, Faust was given the camp's Most Surprising Player Award on Saturday night.

"The camp's been really good and I've been playing very well," Faust said. "It's very good. I'm playing with the top players in the country which is good for me."

Faust has shown an ability to hit shots from all over the floor while also taking defenders off the dribble and scoring at the rim with creative and acrobatic finishes.

"My strength, I would say my jump shot, but that relieves me to get the defensive player in the air and that makes it easier to do the rest," Faust said.

Colleges have begun to take notice of Nick as DePaul, Tennessee, UMass, Oregon State, Maryland, UNLV, Drexel, Delaware and Marquette have all offered scholarships according to Faust.

Duke, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Memphis, Clemson, Virginia and Syracuse are also taking interest in the four-star wing.

"I take a visit to Marquette next week and I'm supposed to go out to UNLV and a couple other places too, but I just have to find the time first," Faust said.

Faust will also be participating in the Kevin Durant and LeBron James Skills Academies before the summer is over.
