Three Star TE Picks Duke

David Reeves (6-5, 245, TE) has faxed in his Letter of Intent to Duke.

The Blue Devils got a bit of good news on National Signing Day as Alabama tight end prospect David Reeves picked Duke and faxed in his letter of intent.

Rated as the nation's #51 tight end prospect, Reeves chose Duke over Georgia Tech, South Florida, Mississippi State, and Georgia Tech.

"You can't beat the education. Coach Cutcliffe is rebuilding the program," Reeves told Scout. "I think it will be real exciting to get my name out there from Duke football."

"I visited Duke in early December. It was a great visit and I was really impressed with everything I saw there and heard from the coaches."

What the 6-foot-5, 245 pound three star prospect found and heard was a pitch to come in and immediately be part of the Duke offense.

"They are recruiting me to play tight end and I could have a chance to get on the field early on. They have been very up front about what they want and need to finish up their class. Coach Cutcliffe talked about how they use their tight ends and how he liked my athleticism and ability."
