Three Star Safety Gets An Offer

Demetrious Cox went a few weeks without a scholarship offer after a torrid spring with new offers flying at him every day. It looks like the lull is over as two more schools have stepped up.

Jeannette (Pa.) three-star safety Demetrious Cox seemed like he was slowing down after not picking up an offer in a few weeks, but his break didn't last long as Duke and Illinois offered over the weekend.

"Illinois emailed and said they watched my tape," Cox said. "They said they would like to extend an offer. I am being recruited by DeAndre Smith.

Duke called and Coach (Jim) Knowles wanted me to know I had an offer," Cox continued. "He said it was important that I get down and see Duke."

Cox also holds offers from Akron, Arizona State, Boston College, Connecticut, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Syracuse, Temple, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
