Westlake's Westray works it at Duke camp

Waldorf (Md.) Westlake prospect Michael Westray showed off his passion, speed and versatility at the Duke camp. Was it enough to earn an offer?

Westlake (Waldorf, Md.) prospect Michael Westray showed his hunger for the game, speed and versatility at the Duke camp this weekend.

"It went amazing," Westray said. "The coaches loved me. I ran a 4.4 twice and I got the attention of all the coaches. At lunch time the coaches talked and told me to go with the safeties. While I was at cornerback and the coach told me he loves my work ethic. I was always first in line and gave 110-percent, but he told me to go to safety because they are offering two spots there and no cornerback spots are available."

Westray did not leave with an offer but was told to call back Monday.

"My recruiting coordinator told me to give him a call. I am calling him tomorrow."

When asked if he believes he will get an offer, he replied, "yes, I think they will offer me." However, Westray is staying focused on his remaining summer schedule.

"I cant wait for PSU camp." The Nittany Lions are number one on his list, he said.
