"I just committed to Duke," Martin stated Thursday evening. "I've been talking with them for a while and they were out to my school to see me kick in the spring."
"Last Friday I was at Duke for camp, and they liked me," he continued. "They offered after camp. My mom and I came back down today and we met with the coaching staff, so I went ahead and committed."
Martin had put together a great offer list, with the thought that more could possibly be coming his way, but he saw no reason to wait.
"Duke was a place had fallen in love with when I visited earlier, and this offer is a dream come true," he explained. "When you combine the football program with the tremendous academic reputation, there's no way to top Duke."
"I plan on majoring in investment banking," he added. "I loved the coaching staff, and the players I met were great. This is a combination of relief and great happiness."
