The Winter Park, Fla., native opened the week with a team-high 17 points in Duke's 87-64 win over Colorado State on Wednesday. Rivers was 5-of-9 from the field, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, and added two rebounds, two assists and one steal in the contest.
In Saturday's 86-80 victory over Washington, Rivers tallied a team-high 18 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes of action. He knocked down a pair of three-point field goals and also had four rebounds and three assists for the game.
Rivers has scored in double-figures in nine of 10 games this season and has led the team in scoring seven times. He ranks sixth in the ACC (tops among freshman) in scoring a 15.8 point per game and is seventh in field goal percentage (.448). Rivers ranks seventh nationally in scoring among freshman.
Duke returns to action on Monday, Dec. 19 with a home contest against UNC Greensboro.
