Conyers Recaps Visit To Duke

Robert Conyers (6'5, 280, OT) has more than 20 scholarship offers, and was in Durham last week for his official visit to Duke.

Miami offensive tackle Robert Conyers has collected over 20 scholarship offers during the course of the recruitment process, but has narrowed his list of schools down and is about ready to make a decision.

"I'm still deciding on one or two more officials, but I haven't firmly decided that yet," Conyers responded when asked about the status of is recruitment. "I'm about to make my decision though. It may be this week or maybe next week. As of right now, I would be choosing between Duke, USF, Wake Forest and FIU."

Conyers was in Durham to visit with the Duke program this past weekend. Although Conyers had previously taken a visit to Duke, he was glad that he was able to get on campus while school was in session.

"I was able to visit once over the summer, but it was a nice that I could see the campus with all of the kids in school. It went pretty good."

Conyers' host for his official visit was Blue Devil junior offensive lineman Brain Moore, who was able to show Conyers what it is like to live in Durham as a collegiate student-athlete.

"He showed me around and showed me all the places in town to go, and showed me what to do on the weekend. I then got to talk to the offensive line coach (Matt Luke) and he said that they are still really interested and they are just waiting to see what I am going to do."

With Conyers on the brink of making his decision, what are going to be the biggest factors in his final decision?

"It's going to come down to would I be happy there, would I get a chance to make a difference on the team and stuff like that."
