Martin will be kicking for the Black Team in the Under Armour game this week, and he is certainly excited to have that opportunity.
"This is so great being here, and they treat us so special," Martin said of the Under Armour experience. "I've formed a lot of friendships, and it's been fun being with all these great players."
"Off the field, everyone hangs out together," he continued. "Everyone gets along so well, and we all talk a lot about what it will be like playing college. I'm the only player in the game going to Duke, but there are other players here going into the ACC, so we will be opponents down the road."
Speaking of Duke, Martin committed to the Blue Devils last summer after considering several other top programs.
"I am so excited to begin my career at Duke, and I will be going in there next June," he explained. "I just took my official two weeks ago, and we actually landed a few more commitments that weekend. I've been solidly committed to Duke for a while, and I can't wait to get started there."
Duke's stellar academic reputation appealed to Martin, although he is not sure what he will major in.
"Duke's academic history speaks for itself, and I'm honored to be a part of it," he added. "I will probably study business at Duke, but I'm not exactly sure. I love the business field, and I know that's the direction I want to go after football is complete."
As a senior, Martin converted 9 of 14 field goal attempts, with the majority of his misses from beyond 50 yards. As a three-year starter, he never missed an extra point.
