"After dinner we took a tour of the campus and had major-specific meetings as well as an overall academic meeting. We also were able to tour the Yoh Center before heading out with the current players for the evening.
Williams, who measures out at 6'1 and 215 pounds is rated as a three star prospect by Scout.com and the nation's No. 78 outside linebacker. He was recruited by Coach Lubick and had a chance to spend with catching up with his recruiter.
"I'd say [Coach Lubick] was the coach I interacted with the most. I also got a chance to talk with Coach Collins and Coach Cutcliffe. All of them were really excited about my senior season and what they believe I can bring to the program."
So how did that senior season for Lutheran go?
"Honestly it was kind of disappointing on the wins and losses side, but it was very rewarding in helping me grow as a player and teammate. The highlight of the year was our 48-7 victory over the top ranked team in Utah and the overtime win over a highly rated La Habra team. Those games really showed how much fight our team had.
And what about the trip to Durham? After all the meetings and presentation, what stood out the most for Williams?
"Definitely hanging out with my future teammates. They are a great group of guys and I felt like I was immediately accepted. I could sense the program as a fire lit and everyone is expecting big things from everyone."
"Everyone, especially Coach Cut, is foaming at the mouth in anticipation for next season. They can almost taste the bowl game and I am very excited to be a part of the program at a time like this."
